COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Veterans Board selected U.S. Army veteran Nickolas Easterling as the next Branch County Veterans Service officer on Friday after they interviewed two of the three finalists during a special board meeting.
Branch County Veterans Board chair Rod Olney says all five board members voted for Easterling who will start his new duties once he has a physical and goes through a background check.
Easterling and Whitney Lewis were interviewed by the board. They were among the three finalists chosen out of 21 applicants. Olney says another finalist, Parker Radcliffe, did not show up for his interview.
Easterling is from Allen and he has been a Vietnam Veterans of America Service Officer in Coldwater for the last nine years.
He will take over for Charles Scott who is retiring as of February 28, 2025.

Congratulations to Nickolas. I am sure he will do a great job as Branch County Veterans Service Officer.
