COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Mother’s Day weekend tradition in Branch County for over three decades maybe in jeopardy.
No official announcements have been made by organizers but the status of the Coldwater Swap Meet and Car Show for this year is very much up in the air.
A vendor who pre-paid for this year’s show got a notice in the mail saying this year’s show has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. The letter included a refund of the money the vendor paid.
There has also been some confusion as to who was exactly in charge since questions on the events Facebook page have gone unanswered.
This year’s show was scheduled to take place May 10 and 11. A link to a web site for the show on its Facebook page is also broken.
There are discussions ongoing to have some kind of car show at the Branch County Fairgrounds in May perhaps under the control of the Branch County Fair.
