Jacquelyn G. Lyon, 78, of Coldwater passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Drews Place of Coldwater.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Mark Case from California Community Church officiating.
Visitation will be held, prior to the service Saturday beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Jacquelyn was born June 13, 1946 in Raleigh, NC to Otto “Jack” & Betty (Price) Yeater.
Jacqui began her career as a secretary at the Coldwater First Baptist Church. She worked for many years for the Coldwater Community Schools at the former Edison School and then as the Assistant to the Superintendent, retiring in 2020.
Jacqui had attended the First Baptist Church and the First Presbyterian Church, singing in both choirs respectively. She was a former member of Altrusa, serving on many committees and as past president.
Jacqui had a great appreciation for the arts; she loved to sing and dance. She was an avid reader and enjoyed participating in book clubs. Jacqui treasured time with her family, taking many trips together to Lake Michigan and most especially time with her grandchildren.
Jacqui is survived by her children Kim Grady Thurston of Grand Rapids, Dusten Rose of Austin, TX; her longtime companion Tom Garman of Coldwater; her sister Donna MacIntosh of Coldwater; her grandchildren Reece Thurston and Sydney Thurston both of Grand Rapids and her former husband Tom Rose of Richland.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Tracy Grady-Lane in 2003 and former husbands Patrick Grady and Gary Lyon.
Memorials may be directed to Gentiva Hospice or Drews Place of Coldwater.
