BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Branch District Library Bookmobile has arrived after over two years of waiting.
It came off the assembly line in December of 2023 and still has a lot of prepping to go through before it is ready to hit the road. Over the next couple of months, the library staff will be loading the new vehicle with books and resources that they’ll be taking on the road to schools, events, and all over the service area.
The Bookmobile is expected to hold about 2,000 items when it hits the road. It will provide a collection of library materials available for check out to under-served communities in Branch County.
Patrons are being asked to follow the library’s web site for the latest updates.
After being built at Morgan Olsen in Sturgis, the Bookmobile went to Greensboro, North Carolina before being delivered to Coldwater.
The Bookmobile project was supported by the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary Club, the Branch County Community foundation and Coldwater Solar/Apex Clean Energy.
