COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – On a night the Coldwater wrestling team honored long time coach Ed Grace, they were beaten by the Marshall Red Hawks 43-30 in an Interstate 8 Conference dual meet.
It was the Cardinals final home meet of the season at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium.
Marshall only led 31-30 before they scored pins in the final two matches to secure the win.
The Cardinals got pinfall wins from Gage Fuller at 175, Raul Cecilio at 215, Ruben Torres at 138 and from Dayton Miller at 150.
Umari Umari won at 120 pounds on a void.
Grace has been an assistant wrestling coach at Coldwater. He is retiring after coaching wrestling for 44 years.
