PORTAGE, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Bowlers swept Kalamazoo Christian on Wednesday afternoon at Airway Lanes.
Quincy won the boys meet 16-14 as well as the girls match 21-9.
The Quincy Varsity Boys struggled in baker play dropping game one 168-144 and game two 129-99.
Tyler White and Ethan Janssen hung with each other through the 6th frame as their perfect streak ended. White went on to shoot 224, Janssen 189 with Drew Carlisle finishing strong dropping 185, and toping out the Os scoring was Conner Stetler with a 159.
Still down 8-11 the Orioles battled some tough breaks and an array of splits to capture overall totals with Stetler and White taking their head to head points with 166 and 178 games.
Quincy went on to take the night 1,671-1,467.
Quincy jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the girls match by taking bakers 105-86 and 134-86.
The Orioles were led by first year bowler Lillan Robison in baker play as she dropped three strikes and a spare over her four frames of play.
In singles action it was Robison taking the lone Quincy point in game one as the Orioles dropped overall 562-676.
Heading in to game two with a 11-8 lead Quincy battled hard taking 4 head to head points, game two totals, and overall totals on the night.
Scoring in game two Breanna Brown [115], Elizabeth Craig [106], Allyson Janssen [160) and Robison again with a 124. Quincy won total pins 1,150-1,123.
Bronson’s state ranked bowling teams swept Kalamazoo Christian by scores of 29-1 in the boys meet and 25-3 in the girls match. Meet details were not provided.
The Bronson boys are ranked third in Division Four by the Michigan High School Interscholastic Bowling Coaches Association while the Bronson girls were rated tenth. The Coldwater girls were ranked tenth in Division Two.
