COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinal bowlers split with Parma Western on Thursday afternoon at Midway Lanes.
The Coldwater Girls Varsity team had a rough night, dropping their contest 18-12.
The two teams split the regular games. Coldwater took game one 638 to 621, lost game two 671 to 644 and lost totals 1292 to 1282. They also split the Baker games, with Coldwater losing game one 144 to 126, winning game two 150 to 134, but losing totals 278 to 276.
The Cardinals were led by Ashlyn Cleckner with a 155, Alana Houtz a 152 and Makenna Dirschell a 145.
The Coldwater Boys Varsity team had a good night as they won their meet 22-8.
Coldwater won both regular games 974 to 823 and 890 to 849, taking totals 1864 to 1672. They split their Baker games, dropping game one 170 to 168, taking game two 216 to 139 and taking totals 384 to 309.
Coldwater was led by Ian Schindler with a 219, Lennon Swick a 213, Kameron Corwin a 201 and Vinnie Beekman a 194.
The JV boys won their meet 19 to 11
The Coldwater boys will compete in the Trojan Invitational on Sunday Feb. 2nd at the Bronson Strike Zone.
Also in bowling on Thursday, Bronson swept Kalamazoo Christian at the Bronson Strike Zone as the Vikings won the boys match 20-10 and the girls match 29-1. No details were provided.
