COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Officials at Pansophia Academy say there were no serious injuries on Friday morning when one of their buses was struck by a vehicle pulling out of a driveway in the 300 block of Cutter Avenue.
The incident involved bus #44 which was backed into by a car.
Pansophia reported that all students on the bus were okay and remained calm while emergency personnel checked the scene.
The school used bus #23 to transport the students who were on the bus to the school, then bus #23 was used to finish the remainder of bus #44’s route.
The number of students on the bus is not known. Pansophia officials contacted all of the parents of students who reported that they bumped their head on the seat or a window during the incident.
They say there were no major injuries and all students passed concussion safety protocol performed by the EMTs on site.
Principal Ryan Tomlinson spoke with all students who were on the bus when they arrived at school to ensure that they were okay.
Bus #44 sustained minor scratches that will not impact afternoon transportation. All routes will run as normal on Friday afternoon.
