BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Theater recently received a $500 donation from Annette Hollister-Papp in honor of her late father, Jerry Hollister.
The money for the contribution was raised from the sale of Hollister’s beloved banjo.
Hollister died in 2012. He served as Bronson’s City Manager between 1985 and 1995, during which time he championed the preservation of the historic theater.
Hollister played a pivotal role in the city’s purchase of the building and the formation of the Bronson Community Foundation.
The Hollister family felt that supporting the theater was the perfect way to honor his legacy.
