QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The 62nd edition of the Quincy Chain of Lakes Tip-Up Festival will be held on Saturday.
The festival on Tip Up Island is held every year on the second Saturday in February.
Something new this year will be eight on site food trucks that will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m..
16 craft vendors are also scheduled to be on hand from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m..
This year’s Tip Up Mayor is Greg “Humpy” Humprey while the Sheriff is 2024 Tip Up Queen Payton Gross.
The squirrel hunt will be back for a second year. Other events for the family friendly one day event include wood cutting, fishing contests and kids games.
The 42nd Polar Bear Splash will take place at 12:00 noon, with the Fisherman’s Ball set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening.
This will be the third straight year the festival has been held after it was cancelled in 2021 and 2022 because of the COVID-19 pandemic and major summertime storms.
