ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – The Angola Police Department has announced with heavy hearts that their K9 Zara was euthanized on Monday.
They say the 10-year-old Belgian Malinois was put down under the guidance of veterinary care in order to relieve her from pain and suffering caused by worsening medical conditions.
K9 Zara had been with the Angola Police Department since 2019.
She passed away in peace surrounded by fellow officers and her K9 handler, Officer Brian Noll.
Her death left Angola Police with two K-9 officers.
