COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved bids for seven physical security projects for the City and CBPU on Monday night. The CBPU Board of Directors also approved the projects last Wednesday.
All of the projects are in the Fiscal Year 2025 budget.
CBPU Information Technology Director Pat Pool says these measures are critical for enhancing safety, improving access control and protecting valuable assets across 11 facilities.
He said the cameras being replaced are not available any more.
The IT Department requested $264,000 in funding for these projects in the 2025 fiscal year budget.
Six of the projects were awarded to Knight Watch of Byron Center for about $157,500 while the other project was awarded to Lakeland Electronics for just over $93,000.
The City of Coldwater’s share is over $151,000 while the CBPU share will be over $98,000.
