BETHEL TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Bronson firefighters had to deal with a fire that caused propane tank cylinders to explode late Saturday night north of Sprung Lake.
A camper fire was reported in the 400 block of Sprung Lake Drive just after 10:30 p.m..
Bronson Fire Chief Scott Wilber says firefighters arrived to find a fifth wheel camper fully involved in flames.
He says several LP gas cylinders exploded during the blaze but no injuries were reported. The camper and contents were said to be a total loss.
Michigan State Police and Life Care Ambulance were also called to the scene.
Video of the explosion was shared on social media sites. Firefighters were on the scene until just before midnight.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and there was no insurance on the camper.
