COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coach Eby Youth and Family Center plans to keep their 24-hour emergency warming shelter open at least through Wednesday.
A warming shelter is being operated for the second time this winter as highs are only expected to be in the teens over the next few days with night time temperatures just barely above zero.
Winds chill readings are expected to drop to six degrees below zero Monday night.
About a half dozen persons took advantage of the shelter after it opened Sunday night.
Anyone in need of warmth is welcome to stay there. Cots and blankets for sleeping and meals will be provided.
