HASTINGS, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School boys swim and dive team traveled to Hastings Thursday night for their last dual meet of the season, facing Hastings and Fremont.
Coldwater beat Hastings 123-39. The meet with Fremont wasn’t scored as it was a make up meet due to weather.
Cooper Otto qualified for MHSAA state finals in the 100 Fly with a new school record. The relay of Taylor Eberts, Cooper Otto, Mason Grabowski, and Mason Sabaitis qualified for MHSAA state finals as well in the 200 medley relay. Taylor Eberts also won the 200 and 500 Free, while Cooper Otto won the 100 Fly, Benny Travelbee won diving, and Brennen King won the 200 IM.
The Cardinals finished the regular season with an 8-8 dual meet record. They were also 3-1 in the Interstate 8 Conference and 3-6 in the SMAC.
Coldwater will swim next Friday and Saturday at the SMAC championships.
