UNDATED (WTVB) – Coldwater and Bronson’s boys bowling teams qualified for next weekend’s MHSAA Team Finals following their respective showings at Team Regionals Friday afternoon.
At the Division 2 Regional hosted by Vicksburg at Continental Lanes in Kalamazoo, Coldwater’s boys came in second with a combined pin total from eight Baker games and two sets of singles matches of 3286, 100 pins behind Regional champion Three Rivers. The top two teams move on to next weekend’s State Finals. The Cardinal girls missed qualifying for state by four pins; Three Rivers was first with 3208, Marshall was second with 2796, and Coldwater was third with 2792.
At the Division 4 Regional hosted by Bronson at M-66 Bowl in Battle Creek, the Viking boys placed second with a score of 3128; Jonesville won the Regional with a score of 3367. Bronson’s girls finished fifth with their score of 2527.
Coldwater and Bronson will compete in Singles Regionals Saturday, with the top seven individuals in each group advancing to next weekend’s Singles Finals.
Quincy competed In the Division 3 Regionals at Royal Scot in Lansing on Thursday and Friday. In team competition, the Oriole boys finished seventh with a team score of 2934, while the girls were fourth with a score of 2276. During Friday’s singles competition, Ally Janssen missed out on qualifying for state by three spots, as she finished tenth with a six-game total of 927. Ethan Janssen was the top placer for the Oriole boys; his score of 1005 was good for 29th place.
