COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Longtime Branch County Veterans Affairs Director Charles Scott is retiring as of Friday after 22 years of service.
He was honored and thanked for his efforts to help area veterans during Thursday’s meeting of the Branch County Board of Commissioners.
Scott was presented a tribute from State Representative Jennifer Wortz and State Senator Jonathan Lindsey.
The Branch County Veterans office provides transportation for vets free of charge to any Michigan V.A. facility as well as other services.
The Branch County Veterans Board selected U.S. Army veteran Nickolas Easterling to succeed Scott as the next Branch County Veterans Service officer last month.
