COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities has been dealing with a discolored water situation over the last couple of days.
The utility said on its Facebook page that a valve that was being rebuilt at the Garfield Water Tower failed on Monday and caused their system to be stirred up.
This resulted in discolored water for many residents on Tuesday.
The valve has been temporarily repaired which corrects the problem until the CBPU can replace the valve at a later date.
According to the CBPU, the water is both safe to drink and bathe in.
If you continue to see discolored water and need assistance, call the CBPU water department at (517) 279-9531.
