COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities says their Water Department will be performing additional maintenance on the Garfield Water Tower valve Sunday morning.
The valve was being rebuilt on Monday when it failed and caused the CBPU system to be stirred up. That led to discolored water for many residents on Tuesday and many angry comments directed towards the CBPU on social media outlets.
The CBPU says you may experience some discolored water throughout the City as crews perform this work. If this happens, run your water for 10 minutes to clear the lines.
If you still experience issues with discolored water, you can contact the Water Department directly at (517) 279-4805 so they can further assist you.
The CBPU says they understand your frustration with recent water issues and they apologize for the inconvenience it has caused.
