Rodney M. “Rod” Myers, 92, of Coldwater passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Dave Foust from Northview Christian Church officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.. Interment will follow the service at Fairfield Cemetery in Corunna, IN.
Rod was born September 5, 1932, in Angola, IN to Glenn M. and Mayme L. (Albright) Myers. He graduated from Coldwater High School in 1950 and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
Rod married L. Joyce Stout on August 24, 1952, she preceded him in death on September 21, 2016.
Rod owned and operated Myers Trucking in Coldwater from 1955-1997. He was a member of the Quincy American Legion, Northview Christian Church and the First Baptist Church in Wewahitchka, FL.
Rod was an outdoorsman who enjoyed saltwater fishing, hunting and feeding all sorts of critters. He was always busy tinkering around and fixing things; he enjoyed camping in his RV, where he and his wife traveled throughout the United States.
Rodney is survived by his daughter Shelly Bowen of Coldwater; his grandchildren Josh Bowen, Steven Myers, Elisa (Brandon) Manley; his great grandchildren Denim Bowen, Alexis Bowen, Piper Manley, Gray Manley and his great, great grandson Stetson Harrington.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son Gregory Myers and his beloved cat Ming.
