YPSILANTI, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater will be well represented at the M.H.S.A.A. Division Three Swimming and Diving Finals on Friday and Saturday at Eastern Michigan University.
Even though the Coldwater boys swim and dive only had 11 members this season, eight managed to qualify with M.H.S.A.A. D3 State cuts.
Coldwater will have an athlete with a qualified time in nine of the 12 events.
Taylor Eberts qualified in both the 200 freestyle and 100 freestyle. Eberts had the eighth fastest 200 freestyle time in the state this season at 1:49.74.
Cooper Otto has qualified for the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke. His 50 freestyle time of 22.28 was the ninth fastest in the state.
Benny Travelbee and Ivan McConnell qualified for diving.
Coldwater also qualified the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams.
The 200 medley relay team consists of Eberts, Otto, Mason Grabowski, Mason Sabaitis, Kaz Lindblom, Logun Fisher and McConnell.
Members of the 200 freestyle relay team are Grabowski, Sabaitis, Eberts, Otto, Fisher, Lindblom and McConnell.
