CALIFORNIA TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A home in Branch County’s California Township was destroyed by fire Sunday evening.
According to the Fremont, Indiana Fire Department, the blaze broke out around 6:00 p.m. in the 900 block of Copeland Road. There were no injuries and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Fire officials did not place a dollar amount on the loss.
Fremont was assisted at the scene by fire departments from Lakeland, Reading, Montgomery, Camden, Angola and Steuben Township as well as LifeCare Ambulance. Both the Branch County Sheriffs Department and Michigan State Police provided traffic control.
