COLDWATER, MI (WTVB)- Coldwater police say no one was seriously injured in a pair of accidents late Wednesday afternoon.
The first occurred just before 6:00 p.m. when a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Garfield Road and attempted to pass another vehicle at a high rate of speed. That’s when the driver lost control and rolled the vehicle.
Police say it was occupied by four juveniles all of which were uninjured. The driver was cited for speeding and not having a license.
The second accident took place a short time later on US-12 near Walmart when a vehicle pulled onto the road and struck an eastbound vehicle, causing it to flip over.
The flipped vehicle was occupied by two females who were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the first vehicle was uninjured, but was cited for causing the accident.
The Coldwater Fire Department, Lifecare Ambulance, and Michigan State Police assisted on the scene.

It’s not just young drivers having these accidents or near accidents. It is a reflection of our society today. No common courtesy, a disregard for others, and it’s an all about me attitude. How dare you to slow my travel!
I used to walk down Garfield until it got so dangerous. People speeding not moving over even if they have room or at least slowing down. If I happen to trip and fall in front of them both our lives will change in a second! And for some reason the louder the vehicle is the cooler they feel.
