Margie A. Hanshaw, 82, of Bronson passed away Monday April 7, 2025 at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 11, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bronson, MI. Interment will take place following the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Margie was born December 14, 1942, in Alberta, MI to Robert and Leotine (Hall) Albright. She later met and married Charles Hanshaw Jr, on June 10, 1960, at St. Mary’s Cheboygan Church. She spent many years working as a nurse for the Cheboygan Hospital where she eventually retired.
Margie was a member of St. Mary of Assumption Church and actively involved with the Bronson Food Pantry. She enjoyed many things including sewing, crafts, and painting. In her free time, she took care of her garden and canned many things, her string beans being her family’s favorite.
Margie was very caring, intelligent and loved her family. Nothing was more important to her than sharing her knowledge with others and spending time with her family.
Margie is survived by her husband Charles Hanshaw Jr.; her children Brent Hanshaw; Mark (Chris) Hanshaw; her brother Robert Albright; her grandchildren Kyle (Mariya); Lauren (James); her 6 great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jerome Albright.
