Andrew was born May 3, 1965 in Coldwater, MI to Ralph “Jim” & LuAnne (Pifer) Warkoczeski.
Andy worked in grocery retail management for many years. His family owned and operated the former Newt’s market in Tekonsha and he spent his younger years working for Kroger and Hawkins Produce.
For the past 20 plus years Andy worked in management for Walmart in Auburn, IN, and most recently Angola, IN, where he was currently still employed.
Andy was very devout in his Catholic faith and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
Andy was a walking sports encyclopedia who loved Notre Dame and attending any games that he could possibly fit in his schedule. Recently Andy and Tony went to the Orange Bowl to see their team. Andy let everyone know that it was “the best trip ever”. This was a big trip for the brothers.
It is going to be tough not seeing Andy, walk out of his house at the lake with his Yeti.
Andy enjoyed life! He was selfless and kind and enjoyed socializing with others. He was a one of a kind “funcle” and his nephews and nieces loved him so much. What brings us peace is knowing he is now with his parents, whom he dearly missed. We know Jimbo and LuAnne were there to greet him when he arrived.
Andy was loved by so many and we will all miss him each and every day. The family would like to thank Andy’s Walmart family for always being there for Andy. Blue 42! WE ARE ND!
Andy is survived by his sister Suzy and Joe Gonzalez of Lake George, IN, his brother Tony and Jenny Warkoczeski of Berkley, MI; his nieces and nephews David Gonzalez, Matthew Gonzalez, Veronica & Victoria Gonzalez and Everly Warkoczeski and many close friends.
He was preceded by his father Jim in 2020 and his mom LuAnne on February 24, 2025.
Memorials may be directed to the family to help with expenses.
