Donald D. Sechler, 77, of Coldwater passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at his home.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no services at this time.
All arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Donald was born April 8, 1948, to Russell and Viola (Fleming) Sechler, in Coldwater. He later met and married Carol J. Clifford November 16, 1968.
Donald honorably served his country as a member of the United States Air Force where he did two tours in Vietnam.
He later spent many years working at the Midwest Foundry until it closed and then Eaton Corporation in Marshall where he eventually retired.
Donald was a member of the Branch County Sportsman Club; he was very active in many shooting competitions and taught youth gun safety courses. Donald enjoyed many things but most of the time he was able to spend with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Donald is survived by his daughter Carla (Ken) Quimby of Coldwater; his son-in-law Kevin North of Coldwater; his siblings Connie (Richard) Farley; Michael (Lois) Sechler; James Sechler; his step siblings Tammy Mohney; Trudy Rubley; Rodney Sunday; Synda Sunday; Lyn Sunday; his grandchildren Zachary Quimby; Rebecca (Tim Oyeleke) Quimby-Oyeleke; Samuel North; Matthew North; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Donald is preceded in death by his wife Carol Sechler; his daughter Cathy North; his sister Clara Wiegand; his mom and stepdad Viola (Basil) Sunday; and his dad Russell Sechler.
