STOCKBRIDGE, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Oriole track teams continued their winning ways Wednesday during a Big 8 triangular meet at Stockbridge. Quincy’s boys defeated Maple Valley 117-15 and Stockbridge 89-47. The Lady Orioles beat Maple Valley 111-17 and Stockbridge 95-35.
For the Quincy boys, Clayton Benson was a triple winner, taking both hurdle races and the 100m. Noah Rufenacht won both the high jump and long jump. Other winners include Noah Kelley in the 200m, Micah Groves in the 400m, Tyler Miner in the shot put, Ethan Pearson in the discus, Corey Turner in the pole vault, and the 4x200m relay team.
For the Quincy girls, Brookelyn Parker was a triple winner as she took both hurdle races and the 100m. Also winning were Elizabeth Longardner in the 200m, Elizabeth Craig in the 400m, Lainey Yearling in the 800m, Aniston Smullen in the 3200m, the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams, Abigail Miller in the high jump, Brooke McVicker in the pole vault, and Abby Tinervia in the long jump.
