David Lee Hindenach, 91, of Coldwater passed away Monday, May 12, 2025 at Drews Place of Coldwater.
In keeping with David’s wishes, he will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2025 at Lighthouse of Tekonsha, 616 N Main St., Tekonsha, MI. A visitation will be held just prior to the service from 10:00 a.m-12:00 p.m., also at Lighthouse of Tekonsha Monday.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.
The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation.
David was born August 1, 1933 to Oscar F. “Mike” and Jennie M. (Wirebaugh) Hindenach in Marshall, Michigan. He graduated from Marshall High School with the Class of 1952. After high school, David proudly served in the United States Navy, where he was a pipefitter.
October 11, 1955, David married the love of his life, Carolyn “Carol” Jean Jackson in Marshall. David worked as a plumber starting in 1956 and would later become a member of the local union #333 in 1965 until he retired in 1994.
David enjoyed fishing and hunting, and being an avid outdoorsman. He was also a Detroit Lions fan. He loved camping with his family in his younger years until bears showed up. He and his wife were international travelers, visiting many places throughout the world through flight and cruises. Lastly, David enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino.
David is survived by his wife of 69 years, Carol; his children, Cheryl Robison of Coldwater, Karen (Albert) Jones of Marshall, Jenna (David) LeBlanc of Richland, and Michael (Keli) Hindenach of Albion; his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Joan Fessel of Crown Point, IN and Tom (June) Hindenach of Marshall.
David was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Joyce Manino, Jim Hindenach, and Fritz Hindenach.
