Lewis A. Lukazcek, 82, of Quincy passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at The Meadows of Thurston Woods in Coldwater.
A service will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Kurt Kuhlman officiating.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Interment will take place following the service at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy.
Lewis was born November 28, 1942 to Andrew and Adah (Savohuk) Lukazcek in Coldwater. He attended Michigan State University for 2 years.
In 1975, Lewis started his own drainage company. In 2007 Lewis and his son, Andrew Lukazcek, went into partnership co-owning Lukazcek Excavating and Drainage. He retired at 80 years old in 2022, and his son continues owning and operating the company. Lewis’s hard work and integrity will never be forgotten.
Lewis was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Colon. He was also a member of the Land Improvement Contract of America (LICA). He enjoyed working, farming, and caring for his animals. Most of all, Lewis enjoyed spending time with his family.
Lewis is survived by his wife, Marilyn Lukazcek of Quincy; his children Kerri (Christopher) Henry of Marengo, MI, Shantel (Tony) Tabiadon of Albion, MI, Joli (Ryan) Conley of Eagle Lake, FL, Andrew (Miranda) Lukazcek in Quincy; his siblings Barbara Hepler, Larry Lukazcek; his grandchildren Miles St. Peter, Steffany Ashley, Nicholas Tabiadon, Ryan Ashley, Kasondra Corby, Brandon Cole, Ashlin Tabiadon, Reid Ashley, Landon Conley, Kaitelynne Conley, Cameron Conley, Koen Adams, Addi Humber, Trey Powell, Hayden Lukazcek; many great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Sherri Lukazcek, and sister Beverly Troutman and Bonnie Carpenter.
