COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater High School hosted Branch County’s first graduation ceremony of the spring Sunday afternoon, as 218 members of the Class of 2025 received their diplomas in front of an overflow audience at Cardinal Field.
Coldwater Board of Education President Dr. Ed Lake and Class President Kiyah Richmond participated in the certification of the diplomas:
During the ceremony, Yeasmeen Zamzami and Sarah Omar were announced as co-valedictorians, and Evan Poradzisz was named salutatorian.
In all, twenty-eight seniors graduated cum laude (3.0 to 3.399 GPA), thirty graduated magna cum laude (3.4 to 3.699 GPA), and forty-seven graduated summa cum laude (GPA 3.7 and above). Additionally, thirty students received the Senior Scholar designation, which is based on GPA and their score on a standardized test like the SAT.
Coming up this Thursday, May 22nd, the Bronson High School Class of 2025 will participate in graduation ceremonies starting at 7 p.m. in the high school gym. Quincy’s graduation ceremonies are scheduled for Sunday, June 1st, at 2 p.m. at the high school football field. Union City’s ceremonies will take place June 1st at 2 p.m. at Alumni Field. And the Pansophia Academy Class of 2025 will have their graduation ceremonies June 1st at 4 p.m. at the Steuben County Event Center near Crooked Lake.
