Charles “Chuck” R. Porter, 62, of Coldwater, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 at his home.
A burial of cremated remains will take place Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Sorter Cemetery from 11:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
There will be a gathering of family and friends following the burial from 12:00-3:00 p.m. at the farm on Pearl Road.
Charles was born February 4, 1962, in Coldwater, MI to Lawrence & Wanda (Stickan) Porter.
Chuck worked in many capacities on the family farm for several years, including excavating work. Later in his career, he worked for 17 years at Dexter Axle in Fremont, IN. Chuck was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and searching for arrowheads. Some of Chuck’s favorite activities included sports, movies, history, music and playing Keno. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Chuck is survived by his brothers Larry Porter, Garry (Pam) Porter; his nephews and nieces Tim (Lynn) Porter, Tom (Lana) Porter, Todd (Samantha) Porter, Amy (Ryan) VanAken; his great nephews and nieces Philip Porter, Alyson (Trey) Monaco, Emma Porter, Evan Porter, Mya Porter, Rylie VanAken, Laynie VanAken, Carly VanAken and his great, great nephew Raydon & Brookes Monaco.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Brian Porter.
