UPDATE : Jennifer Weber turned herself in late Tuesday afternoon and is back behind bars at the Branch County Jail.
COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Fort Wayne, Indiana woman who was free on bond after being arrested on drug charges last month following a traffic stop on I-69 failed to show up in court Tuesday.
42-year-old Jennifer Sue Weber was free on $10,000 bond after being charged with Possession of Cocaine/Heroin or Other Narcotic after State Police discovered over 4.5 pounds in the trunk of her car during a traffic stop for speeding (97 mph) on I 69 May 17, 2025.
During Weber’s arraignment, Magistrate Valerie White set her bond at $10,000 and set a probable cause hearing for May 29 that Weber attended via Zoom call. During the Probable Cause hearing Webber was ordered by District Court Judge Brent Weigle to appear in person at the Branch County Courthouse June 2, for which Weber failed to appear.
Judge Weigle has now canceled the $10,000 bond, issued an arrest warrant, and raised the bond to $250,000 on the new warrant.
During a search of Weber’s vehicle, Michigan State Police discovered what was believed to be fentanyl in the trunk. MSP tested the substance, which they identified as a heroin/fentanyl mixture with the potential to kill as many as one million people and had a street value between $250,000 and $300,000.
Weber faces up to life in prison and a $1,000,000 fine.

Wonder why her bail was 10,000 when she allegedly had enough drugs to kill one million people??? Craziness!!!
