Sergeant Chad A. Finley, 45, of Quincy passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025 at home, surrounded by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 9, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Coldwater Church of Christ with Minister David Sherfield officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy with military honor.
The family will receive friends for visitation Monday at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
He was born July 3, 1979 in Coldwater to Randy and Donna (Sherfield) Finley.
Chad graduated from Quincy High School in 1997 and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. After the service, Chad went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. There wasn’t anything he didn’t hunt, anything from deer, turkey, rabbit, antelope, and even enjoyed time hunting for mushrooms.
Chad also loved spending time with his son, Isaac. He was also found watching the movie Dune II on repeat.
Chad is survived by his parents, Randy and Donna Finley; son, Isaac Finley of Coldwater; sister, Shane (Ryan) Poindexter of Allen; niece and nephew, Miley and Ryp Poindexter.
Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Betty Finley, Ben and Carol Sherfield; aunt, Linda Lytle and nephews, Cole and Ryzer Poindexter.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family or the Glioblastoma Foundation.
