COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Virginia truck driver involved in a fatal motorcycle accident south of Coldwater last November turned himself into the Branch County Jail Thursday.
53-year-old Brian Lowry is being charged with Moving Violation Causing Death in the November 5, 2024 accident that killed 24-year-old Logan Hunnaman. His motorcycle struck the trailer of Lowry’s rig at the northbound I-69 exit ramp at Fenn Road.
A Michigan State Police report said Lowry’s semi slowed when approaching the stop sign on the exit ramp, but did not come to a complete stop before turning onto Fenn Road.
The charge against Lowry is a one-year misdemeanor. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 8, 2025.
