COLDWATER, MI (WTVB)- Summer officially on Friday but summer-like storms expected before then.
As an area of low pressure will advances toward Southwest Michigan this week, humidity will surge.
Dewpoints are expected to rise into the middle to upper 60s on Tuesday and the lower 70s on Wednesday, causing a muggy feeling outside.
That rise in humidity will give storms plenty of moisture for showers and storms to fire up between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Storms should remain isolated on Tuesday afternoon and are not expected to become severe.
The risk for severe thunderstorms rises on Wednesday ahead of a cold front.
We are currently under a Slight (2/5) risk for severe storms on Wednesday afternoon and evening.

High temperatures are expected to approach or exceed 90 degrees by this weekend.
