COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It is now officially summer as of 10: 42 last night, and will definitely feel like it this weekend and on into the beginning of the new work week, with daytime highs eclipsing the 90 degree mark all the way through Tuesday.
The National weather service says we should see a high around 90 today and even hotter on Monday and Tuesday with forecast highs in the low to mid 90’s.
All though it’s going to be extremely hot over the next few days we will fall short of any record breakers this weekend, but could come close to a new record high on Monday.
The record high for today (Saturday) in Coldwater was 99 degrees set in 1988, that’s also the record high for Sunday although set in different year. Sundays record was set in 1923. The all time record high for June 23rd (Monday) is 95, that was set all the way back in 1911, right now our forecasted high temperature for Monday afternoon is 93 degrees.
