COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Director Paul Jakubczak received a two percent salary increase on Wednesday night.
The CBPU Board approved the pay hike after a nearly 40 minute closed session in order to conduct a periodic evaluation at the request of Jakubczak.
The board also approved a one percent increase to his 457 retirement plan.
Jakubczak has served as the utility’s Director since March 7, 2022. He was the Director of Electric & Gas Systems in Fort Pierce, Florida before taking the job in Coldwater.
The initial contract agreement called for him to receive an annual salary of $160,000. He was given a five percent pay raise in 2023 and a two percent increase in his annual salary last year.
