QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Police in the Village of Quincy are looking for whoever was responsible for stealing several items from the inside the village office compound early Sunday morning.
According to Village Police Chief Dalton Turmell, thousands of dollars in tools as well as a large roll of copper wire were among the items stolen after the fence to the compound was cut between 2:30 and 3:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Due to the weight of the copper Turmell believes more than one person was involved.
It’s believed the suspects drove their vehicle on the nearby bike path, due to tire tracks that were discovered during the investigation.
Trumel says they do have more evidence such as still photos of the suspect’s vehicle, but they are withholding releasing it at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Quincy Police at (517)693-9065.
