QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Following a public hearing the Quincy Village Council has revoked the marijuana grow and sale license from Romulus Marijuana Group.
The council says the company had the license to build a facility in the area behind McDonalds just north of the railroad tracks but never began construction. Romulus did however keep their license active in both 2024 and 2025 but failed to pay their annual fees that totaled $60,000.
The council also reduced the number of approved marijuana licenses from four to three, but say they will consider requests for another licensed recreational marijuana facility should one apply in the future.
