UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Union City Schools will be hosting a question and answer forum this evening to field questions from the community on the bond issue that will be on the ballot next Tuesday.
Superintendent Chris Katz says the district hasn’t passed a bond since 1972, but enabled by a $23.6 million state grant for consolidating three buildings into two and a significant boost in taxable value from the DTE Sauk Solar Farm this bond will allow for major upgrades for just pennies on the dollar.
That comes to less than $5 per month for tax payers.
Katz says tonight’s forum will address any concerns the voting public may have.
Tonight’s forum begins at 7 in the high school media room.
