Courthouse furnishings on track to be under budget

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Furnishings for the renovated Branch County Courthouse are now expected to come in well below budget.

County Administrator Frank Walsh in a memo to commissioners says the overall budget for that portion of the renovations was $530,000 including $150,000 for IT enhancements and $380,000 for benches, chairs, desks, and lecterns.

Walsh says if the chairs are approved the overall expense would be $380,000 with only chairs left  to be purchased for the Circuit and District Courts. He says that would complete  that portion of the renovations at around $100,000 under budget.
