CONSTATINE TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Troopers from the Marshall State Police Post are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred on around 8:00 O’clock Thursday night at the intersection of Youngs Prairie Road and US 131 Hwy in Constantine Township.
MSP says an eastbound SUV on Youngs Prairie Road turned left at the US 131 Hwy intersection, failed to yield, and collided with a southbound RV.
The SUV driver, an 86-year-old Constantine man, died at the scene. The RV was driven by a 48-year-old Caledonia man, who had minor injurie.
Drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff and Constantine Police & Fire Departments assisted. The investigation is ongoing.
