COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With dry weather almost the entire week, organizers of the 95th Branch County Fair say it was a record year in a number of areas.
Fair Manager Alyssa Blonde says this year they hosted the most exhibitors, campers, and families post-COVID. Kids Day broke all previous attendance records, and despite a two hour rain delay Wednesday, she says the grandstand events, including the TK Pro Rodeo Saturday night packed the stands.
It was also a record year for the youth animal auctions, with the Large Animal Auction Friday totaling $434,350 in bids, with the Small Animal Auction Thursday totaling $326,899. The combined total exceeded the previous record by $143,053.
