COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater is reminding residents that the muralist will begin creating her masterpiece on the west wall of the Children’s Museum of Branch County today.
During her working hours through approximately August 25, the sidewalk will be closed to pedestrian traffic but will re-open in the evenings.
The mural will be painted on the grey western wall of the building which is owned by the Downtown Development Authority at 60 West Chicago. The design of the mural was one of two options submitted.
The DDA board approved an agreement in April with Rhiannan Sibbald Studio of Grand Rapids, who will paint the mural for $18,000 that will be paid in three installments of $6,000 apiece.

It’s hard to believe the city will pay so much for this but are too cheap to buy “children at play” and “deaf child area” signs.
