BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Union City and Quincy ran in pre-holiday cross country meets Wednesday afternoon.
Concord Invitational
Union City’s girls were fourth, while the Charger boys finished fifth, at the Concord Invitational.
The Lady Chargers finished with 97 points, and they were paced by Allison Gautsche’s sixth place finish. Parker Williams was twelfth, Elizabeth Arlt was 21st, Carly Smith placed 25th, and Jasreman Kaur finished 33rd, one place ahead of teammate McKenzie Hawks.
Union City’s boys had 132 points as Cullen Decker led the way with his ninth place finish. Noah June finished fifteenth, Luke McKown was 30th, Brady Anthony was 38th, and Jack Dibert finished 43rd.
Tekonsha’s lone runner, Max Barron, was 18th in the boys race.

Hillsdale Invitational
Quincy took part in the Hillsdale Invitational at Owens Park. The Oriole boys placed fourth out of eight teams with 130 points, while the Lady O’s didn’t have a team score.
Chayse Jensen had a 19th place finish to lead the Quincy boys, while Hunter Walker notched a new personal record with his 22nd place finish. Carter Feltner was 30th, Coy Wood was 39th, and Nathan Dunn finished 48th.
Only three girls ran for Quincy: Kendyl Musielewicz finished fifteenth, Cali Richards was 25th, and Elizabeth Craig was 39th.

Quincy and Union City will join Coldwater at the Springport Invitational next Wednesday.
