COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It was an abnormally busy afternoon and evening for first responders in Branch County as they were dispatched to several personal injury accidents.
At least three people were injured in a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Fremont Road and Southern Road. A second accident was also investigated on Southern Road that resulted in at least on injury.
In addition a roll over accident occurred within the same time frame in the 500 block of West Girard Road.
A bicyclist suffered minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle on East Chicago Street near Insight Hospital and Medical Center Coldwater.
Minor injuries were also reported in a multi-vehicle accident on East Chicago near Willowbrook Road.
In addition multiple agencies spent the overnight hours dealing with an armed subject barricaded in a home on North Dunes Road in Hillsdale County. That standoff ended peacefully early this morning with the subject taken into custody.
