COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater High School senior has started an online petition to save the school’s girls gymnastics program.
Team member Macy Poradzisz told the Coldwater Community Schools Board of Education Monday night she has collected 450 signatures since starting the petition a week ago as the head coaching position remains vacant.
The School Board accepted Stacy Maddox’s resignation as Varsity Gymnastics Coach in June and a new head coach has still not been hired which has Poradzisz worried there will be no 2025-2026 season.
Her mother Brianna feels the district is not doing enough to fill the opening.
She could not hide her frustration the job has not been filled for three months.
The gymnastics head coach opening was re-posted on the Coldwater School district’s website last Wednesday.
