COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – An accident Wednesday afternoon between an SUV and semi tractor trailer in the eastbound lane of US 12 just east of Fox Road sent the driver of the SUV to a Kalamazoo hospital.
It happened just after 3:00 p.m. when the SUV ran into the back of the semi.
First responders from Coldwater and Quincy had to extricate the driver of SUV after it was partially under the trailer.
One person was taken by ambulance to Bronson Kalamazoo hospital with what were described as severe injuries. That stretch of US 12 was shut down just over an hour while police conducted an investigation .
