COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A botched attempt at cutting down a large pine tree on Cutter Avenue in Coldwater Thursday led to the street being closed for several hours.
According to Coldwater Police, a private contractor hired by a homeowner on Cutter Avenue underestimated the skill level required to cut down a tree of that size, and after notching the side, realized some of the possible outcomes were less than ideal.
After receiving several calls expressing concern over the leaning tree, Coldwater police and fire responded to secure the scene and contacted Your Guy Tree Service who was able to successfully finish bringing the tree down without any injuries or damage to property.
