COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Depending on which side of the fence you are on, you may love or hate the changes we’ll see in October – or maybe a little of both.
During the month of October, we will lose an additional 1 hour and 15 minutes of day light, meaning by the end of the month, we will see sunset times just past 6:30 p.m.
Although we are beginning the month much warmer than normal, our average high temperature to begin October is 67 degrees and the average low is 48. By Halloween, those numbers fall to 55 and 39 for daily highs and lows.
Also during October, we have a good chance by the end of the month to see our first snow flurry of the season.
On the positive side, around the third week of October, we should see the fall colors in the trees hit there peak, although that could be a bit a little less vibrant this year due to the extremely dry conditions we have seen the last couple of months.
